2.1 Website (Waitlist)

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Email address — to notify you when Control Dopamine launches.
  • Referral code — a randomly generated code for the referral program, not derived from your email.
  • IP address — temporarily processed for rate limiting and abuse prevention, not stored long-term.

2.2 Mobile Applications

Control Dopamine's mobile apps process most data locally on your device. We never transmit or store the following on our servers:

  • Screen time data — on iOS, accessed via Apple's FamilyControls framework; on Android, via UsageStatsManager and the Accessibility Service (with your explicit permission). Processed entirely on device.
  • App activity data, habit streaks, credits, and challenges — stored locally via SwiftData (iOS) or Room database (Android).
  • Photos, media files, contact lists, or personal files.

The only data our mobile apps transmit off-device is: (1) anonymized crash reports via Sentry to diagnose bugs, and (2) your subscription receipt via RevenueCat to verify entitlements.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the limited data we collect to:

  • Send you a one-time launch notification email (waitlist).
  • Process your referral code for early access eligibility.
  • Diagnose application crashes via anonymized reports (Sentry).
  • Validate and manage your subscription entitlement (RevenueCat).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

Control Dopamine does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until the product launches and the notification is sent, after which they are deleted unless you convert to a paid subscription. Subscription records are retained for the duration required by applicable tax and consumer protection laws (typically 6 to 10 years under French law). You may request deletion of your data at any time; we will honor the request to the extent permitted by law.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
